The Seasons of Change

How do you move forward with the change in the season?

A couple of tips could be:

  • Keep moving forward
  • Learn something new
  • Work on a hobby or craft
  • Paint that picture or paint by numbers is quite popular right now

Retrieve to that little 5-year-old inside of your heart.

What would she do? I doubt that she would be sad to see the first snow fall.  I remember getting so excited about it.  Especially in the evenings. The magical world with that freshly fallen snow laying a carpet on the lawn.

I will always remember going out in the evening with my sisters and even older brothers. And just be in the moment.  The twinkle in each snow flake as it hit my nose. Watching and feeling the snow land on my face.  Those are the memories that last a lifetime.

Even now after a snowfall and the quietness you surround yourself with when you go out and clear the lane. Getting out and embracing this change in the elements.

When you get on in your years, winter can be bleak. But I have learned to change the thought behind the story I tell myself about this change in the weather.

There was a time and still is to point the I feat the first drive in the snow. And I get anxious about getting those snow tires on in time.  But then you know, you get out and do the drive take it full on.  I really don’t mind driving in the winter. I think that we actually- drive in the winter.  We have- to pay attention and be that body behind the wheel.

Mind you if it gets too bad out just have to say not right now. Let’s wait for this storm to pass.

And yes, this post is part of that gearing up for what is to come, for me anyways. I hope you can relate though.

Let yourself just day dream for a moment or two about it. Be aware of the thoughts you tell yourself about the change in the seasons. Let the negative thoughts pass through you so you can make the choice to change your thoughts to more positive ones.

Bring up your vibration to embrace it.  Some more tips to combat the change in the weather are:

  • Turn off that news
  • Turn off those notifications on your devises.
  • Stay away from social media comments in your news feeds.
  • Limit your daily intake to social media

This blog topic actually came from watching a morning TV show.  I find the main stream media likes to keep us in the doom and gloom when it comes to not-so-great-of- weather.  My wish would be for the producers, directors to make it normal for the hosts of the show to see the good in every day.  Even if it is not a sunny bright day in the neighbourhood. We can change the story line and make it more positive.  If they make the choice to make a change maybe their viewers would follow suit.

Putting my cell phone on airplane mood on Sunday or even through the week nights is a practise of mine.  I make the notion to keep moving do something other than stare at what everyone else is doing on their Sunday.

It really does come down to making the choice to make a change.

I challenge you to turn the negative off for 1 week. See how you do after that week.  Chances are you will feel better.  Maye more relaxed and in tune with your thoughts and actions. Even more motivated to keep moving.

I believe that we just have to keep moving when we feel the dark coming on. Get up move around fold that laundry, Even get the ironing board out. Turn the music on and have an ironing dance party. Be silly be that 5-year-old. For the one week challenge I have created a Day Dream Believer journal

Let’s make it normal to see the good. Taking time to take note of what we are grateful for and write down those day dreams.
