Your Life is Your Medicine live it with a wise heart.
A wise heart once told me to find someone. Having someone she said would keep you from being lonely. I often go back to this conversation. It was years ago with one of my aunts. I haven’t found that someone yet. I do recognize that by building my life to include fun, adventures and keep myself busy is that ‘someone’. Looks like that someone is ME!
I have come to a stage in my life to let some things go. Not everyone is going to be a good fit for me. Letting go of what doesn’t sit well with me anymore has been a growing experience. Move away from needing recognition from the certain circle you depended on to prove your worth.
My energy is on my new life now. If that circle finds they still ponder about me, so be it. I will not force anything anymore. I am here to go with what flows through me. Walks on the beach are a big part of what flows through me now a days. I am that little girl out playing in the sunlight and even on those drizzly days.
This brings me to the question is it about turning the page to a new chapter? Do we go back to being that child now that the hustle and bustle of life has slowed down? Do we grow from recognizing what that hustle was to teach us when we get to this next chapter?
Your life is about the dash between the day you were born to the day you take your last breath. This dash is your life. There was always fun and adventures. My Mom’s generation showed us a good life. Even though it was messed up once- in- a -while. We always had fun at the beach. My uncles always had a good outlook. With humour and not taking the visible life so seriously.
Today the fun and adventure for me is more of a spiritual way of living. Going back to our roots, our beginnings.
My dash is filled with great memories. One fond memory is working in the garden with my mom. Laughing when watching her sleeping on a chaise lounge and my cat Pepsi sleeping on her belly. My mom worked hard, and she too had a messy life at times. There was always humour in the air, maybe to drown out the messy bits.
My thought for a good life; get busy living. Pay attention to the dash. Keep your dash full, with a wise heart. The dash of life is your medicine. Be so busy filling up your life that you don’t have time to overthink the messy bits.
