May the 4th Be With You

GROW YOUR GARDEN OF HOPE
When you spend time musing about your day. You will be inclined to relfelct and journal.

Trust that you can quickly move along when you make the choice to tell yourself another story about a situation.

Recently I had the chance to go down the pity rabbit hole. My toe was dipping into the hole. There was a force pushing me in deeper.  Moving back up to the top of my head there was an even bigger force pulling me back up. The force pushing me into the hole was from the security blanket we cover ourselves with. We feel safe when we can relate to feelings of self-doubt and worry.

Did I allow myself to feel the tug of pity? Yes, I sure did. Allowing myself to feel these feelings helps me to pull myself away from them. Move along, interrupt the moment with a different story.  Resting to envision another outcome gives me my power back to move along from it all.

Over the last few years of internal work, I now have the tools to work through these moments. Remember it is okay to be messy now and then. Trust that you can quickly move along when you make the choice to tell yourself another story about a situation.

Writing this all out in my journal is one of those tools. Journalling is like talking to a therapist. After you say out loud your issues it makes them not so big.  Years ago, I did tell my wows to a therapist. As I was going through my spiel to her, I could hear myself talking in an out of body experience. I recognized then that if I heard my words from a different level they could be resolved. Stop going to the rabbit hole of dread. Instead step over the hole and go in a different direction with your thoughts.

Getting it off your chest and facing your drama full on is what can help you to get over your messy gnarly bits. Face them like the super power you are.  Write that down. Tell the truth. Trust the outcome of facing your messy gnarly bits.

Plan your journalling get away. I am looking forward to hearing from interested individuals that would like to come to PEI for a 5-day Journal Retreat in August or September 2023. 🌻🌻🌻 You are always one decision away from a totally different life. Be vulnerable enough to be a truth teller. Write that down.
